This? Just a perfectly normal farm house with a thousand aerials. Definitely not a clandestine government listening post.

I’d love to be able to leave the house with just my phone. There’s just a couple of issues:
I just watched the first episode of the Netflix series Another Life. I was going to turn it off half way through because of the (intentionally written) insufferable younger characters. But I’m glad I stuck through. Looking forward to binging the rest.
Photos of the Taranaki coastline this afternoon. The first one makes me think of some epic sci-fi story about warring islands.
Waltr looks really interesting and useful. Although I don’t have a need for it, it should be how iOS devices and macOS interact.
If you’re selling Mac software online, you should allow payment with Apple Pay. There’s no excuse not to.
Ethiopia plants 350m trees in a day to help tackle climate crisis. Puts Aotearoa’s goal of planting one billion trees over 10 years into sharp relief. If Aotearoa had a national planting day, where everyone planted 40 sapplings, we’d plant 200 million trees.
I think I’ll buy one of these Studio Neat Canopy cases for the Magic Keyboard next year when I plan on updating my, admittedly rapidly dying, iPad Air 2. It’s such an elegant design.
Last week I got into a spiral of Twitter addiction again. So I’ve logged out on my phone, so now my idle browsing to Twitter is stopped by having to log in, which is a lot more friction than I can be bothered with.
Blue is my favourite fruit!
Percentages of revenue are the only way to make them take notice. And double-digit percentages at that.
Billion-dollar fines can’t stop Google and Facebook. That’s peanuts for them.
Of only there were a term for this area of the world where all these countries, and others, exist without using the catch-all bucket of “Asia”.
I have a $660 billion idea: for every 1ppm of CO₂ someone permanently pulls out of the atmosphere, they get $10 billion. For $660 billion, we get back to around 350 ppm. Use people’s greed to save the world.
Bonjour les gens qui parlent français. J’ai une question facile: est-ce que “tu” êtes pluriel ou seulement singulier?
Je suis désolé pour mon français terrible.
Flat Belgian Blonde: I’ve added the required sugar to 2 flip-top bottles. They both foamed a little, which I expected. Now to leave them and hope they don’t explode. I’ve sealed them in my fermenter so the room doesn’t get sprayed with beer when my back is turned 🍻🤞🏼😬
I brewed a Belgian Blonde a month ago. Cracked a bottle this evening for a taste and realised I hadn’t primed it before bottling. It’s flat, but tasty. I’ll be opening the other bottles and sprinkling in some sugar and recapping them tomorrow. Every brew, at least one mistake.
114.6 kg (~253 lbs) in July 2018, 94.3 kg (~208 lbs) this morning. Total loss is 20.3 kg (~45 lbs).
Upside: I actually feel (and look, I’m told) like I’ve lost weight. Downside: All my trousers are way too big for me now. I’m walking around like it’s Hammer Time.
Spending the day in Wellington. Taking the train there and back. Like a gentleman. 🚞
🏏 that was a pretty rotten way to end one of the greatest games of cricket ever played. No matter which team won, it was by a wisker of good luck. Next time. Next time.
🏏 Current status.
🏏 I’ll be up all night watching the Cricket World Cup final. I’m dury bound as a long-suffering Black Caps fan to see if they can finally reach the pinnacle of the game. Or not, because as I said, long-suffering fan.
“Delivery time to New Zealand: 7–25 business days” That’s… quite a range. Are you shipping it by literally putting it on a ship?
Thanks everyone. Stranger things has been added to my list.
Should I watch Stranger Things?
