The Faster Than Light drive they use in Another Life is called an Alcubierre Drive, which is an idea for a faster than light drive that doesn’t break any laws of physics. Only issue? Its “exotic matter” engine requires matter in a form that has never been observed and only theoretically exists.
I just finished watching Another Life on Netflix. I really, really liked it, but I’m disappointed it was written as a season 1 story which had multiple cliff hangers at the end.
