Don’t do that. That’s a silly idea. No one’s impressed. You’re using all the GNU tools anyway, with a lot more hassles.

I’ve been using Linux for around a quarter of a century. I used it on the desktop, in the early 2000s, until I switched to using a Mac (a 2005 or 6 12" powerbook). This week I installed Kubuntu with KDE Plasma on an old laptop. And my god, it’s the real deal. It’s surprisingly good. Maybe I switch?

I would like to experiment with running an Android phone but those two thing, and especially iMessage, will keep me on iOS forever more.

Just had an alarm go off on my iPhone for the first time with iOS 26. And possibly the greatest improvement: the Snooze and Stop buttons are the same size (big), instead of the stop button being bizarrely tiny and tucked at the bottom of the screen.

I see YouTube videos with subject like building a “cyber deck”, or “pocket computers are back” or “I built a computer into a keyboard”. And as much of an IT professional and Linux/CLI person I am, when it comes to practically, yes these are cool projects, but I just use my phone for the same things.

I’ve actually encountered a useful application of AI - automatically written git commit messages. Makes documenting changes extremely easy. Of course it’s a free feature, so won’t stop the approaching AI bubble bursting.

There are many things which bug me about Star Trek Picard, despite me enjoying it. But the most egregious in my option is they renamed the USS Titan (NCC-80201-A) to the Enterprise G. It should have been called the USS Picard. It was right there.
