Just had a 9-way video chat with an entire side of my family. We couldn’t use Whatsapp, because it’s limited to 4 people. Tried Google Duo, but the quality was absolute garbage so we switched. Zoom was an option but it’s limited to 40 minutes. We would have used FaceTime, but one member was on Android.

We eventually got going on Facebook Messenger, which worked for everyone (I used m’lady’s account because I’m not on Facebook). Not only was FB messenger video chat limited to 50 people (why is Whatsapp limited to 4!?), but the video and audio was far superior to Google Duo.

It was actually really, really impressive. Shame about who runs it.
