$5 billion NZD would fund installation of 5.1 kw solar arrays on ~200,000 houses with 9.3 kw batteries on each of them. That’d give over 1 gigawatt of generation, allow the shutdown of all NZ’s fossil fuel electricity making us 100% renewable. Seems a small price to pay.
