New Zealand banned single use plastic bags on the 1st of July. Incredibly, the sky hasn’t fallen in and people aren’t dying in the streets as sone predicted.

I will sell my soul for a billion Facebook Libres.
Someone in the houses around us just bought a new “smart” TV!
A ringing phone is effectively someone screaming “Talk to me now! Drop what you’re doing! Talk to me now!”
I have a BMX and a mountain bike. I’m considering dusting both off so I can use them to run the odd errand. They’re both from the nineties so are appropriately retro now. I just need a cool new helmet with built in Bluetooth headphones or some such.
What the hell macOS 10.15!?
Some people love big phones. Others tolerate them.
I may have posted this before - [A Selfish Argument for Making the World a Better Place – Egoistic Altruism](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=r vskMHn0sqQ#) - if everyone is doing well, it’s better for everyone, including you!
Unhappy Spark Sport customers horrified it now has cricket rights
A lot can go wrong with streaming. And yeah, it’s not as reliable as satellite brodcasts - but satellites aren’t 100% reliable either. They get disrupted by rare conditions, such as rain and the sun.
I guess I have to do this if I want reminders and the like to work on my Mac too…
I’m not going to suggest anyone, including myself, should do this. But this may be one of the best portable gaming systems available now, thanks to Apple Arcade.
So in order to watch my Sci Fi shows, legally, in the future, I’ll have to subscribe to the following:
Good thing piracy isn’t a thing…
Ocean cleanup device successfully collects plastic for first time
Yes, plastic waste occupies the entire water column and this isn’t even scratching the surface, but it’s better than nothing, and what will it take to lower the netting by 100 m, then 200 m, then 300?
“macOS 10.15 Catalina released” - yeah, imma wait.
What The Golf just straight out crashes on my AppleTV. Apple Arcade games have been a less than stellar experience on the devoce I most want to play them on: the TV.
Redout: Space Assault is unplayable on the Apple TV. Slow, stuttery, laggy. This shouldn’t be on Apple Arcade.
I understand that you’re fast, but why are you so furious?
Recently found out I’m part Italian. That’d explain my love of pizza and my luxurious moustache.
Brewing done! Managed to get the original gravity (the amount of sugar extracted from the grains) to the level I needed, by extending the boil time. Since it was freezing cold last night, the water is cold, so cooling went really quickly and I got the yeast in before lunch!
Scientists observe mysterious cosmic web directly for first time - mind-blowing in its implications for how galaxies and galaxy clusters formed, and for its incomprehensible scale.
I’m brewing today (a small batch of wheat lager that I’ll be adding raspberries into for summer refreshment). I’m now at a point in my brewing knowledge where I can recover from disasters that would previously mean I poured the batch away.
I bought an XBox One controller today, to play Apple Arcade games with. Sayonara Hearts is incredible with a proper controller. And the XBox controller is nice, big and comfortable. I’ll post some deeper thoughts on it later. But for now - Sayonara Hearts!
Healthy frost on the car this morning. Unexpected for early October (the equivalent of April for you in the north)
It’s international Coffee Day. 80 espresso shots delivers a lethal dose of caffeine, so don’t go too crazy.
