I’m always blown away by how intricate and delicate passionfruit flowers are.
I haven’t watched the evening news for over a year now and it’s been great.
My Apple Watch has given up on me and is a liar liar which lies. For the record, I completed my stand goal 22 times last month.
Managed to make it through all the Black Friday / Saturday / Sunday / Monday without buying anything. I was tempted by headphones, but my trusty, steadily physically-breaking Sony MDR10RBT will last another year.
I just finished playing The Last Campfire. All the feels. An incredible story and great puzzles. Took me 16 hours to complete. If you want a nice, relaxing puzzle game, and you enjoyed Monument Valley, I can’t recommend The Last Campfire enough.
★★★★★
The Last Campfire on Apple Arcade (and every other platform too) is incredible. But it absolutely murdered my iPad Pro battery. Running very hot and drained in a few hours. Play while plugged in.
The iPad is in an odd sport, considering an iPad Pro is just as expensive as a MacBook Air, and the MacBook Air can run all iOS apps AND all Mac apps.
Having a MBA makes more sense from a practicality stance, but all the same I’d love it if my iPad could be my only computer.
So, who’s happy they bought a 3D TV?
NZ$200 is a lot for a Magic Trackpad. But is it worth never seeing this again? Perhaps…

New Zealand couple shuns developers to give 900 hectares of land to nation
Pour un an, le abonnement pour Duolingo est cher. Et avec tous mes études, je ne parle toujours pas français. Attend…
I gave Sky: Children of the Light a go and man, that is not my type of game. The time I get to actually sit down and play a game is extremely limited and precious. I don’t want to wander around aimlessly confused at what I have to do next.
I’m very tempted to give Alt Store a go. Everything I’ve read says it’s legit… and it looks fully legit… but I still feel like I’m getting scammed somehow.
🖖🏼 Can I just go back and remind everyone that at the end of Star Trek Picard, season 1, GIANT ROBOT TENTACLES EMERGED FROM A PORTAL TO HELL AND THEIR ORIGIN AND NATURE WERE NEVER COMMENTED ON!
I’m so sick of Lightning and micro-USB and USB-A. USB-C for all the things! All. The. Things.
Every Nintendo console should play games from every previous console. The Switch should be able to play everything from GameBoy through to the Wii U. People who profit because this isn’t happening: emulation hardware manufacturers. People who aren’t profiting: Nintendo.
Has anyone else noticed recently that the number of ads on YouTube has increased to an incessantly annoying amount? Seems like there’s an ad every few minutes. It’s almost unwatchable. Which I guess is the point. Almost.
I really think Nintendo is missing an opportunity not selling an MFi controller cradle and then selling retro games on the App Store.
I’ve been sucked into the Retro Gaming Console world, and seen the incredible little machines they’re making in China. This one, for example, in white, is… holy moly. If I could go back and give this to a 12 year old me, my head would have exploded.
Apple Music costs NZ$23 a month for the family plan 2TB of iCloud storage cost $17 a month
That’s a lot of money over a year. Over a decade, it’s nearing $5,000.
Both services are far too expensive.
Why are there 7 days in a week? Turns out it’s a really interesting number mathematically, but more importantly, it’s exactly a quarter of a 28 day lunar month.
I was watching this review of the Playstation 5 by MKBHD, and he mentioned that the internal storage is listed at 825 GB, but the OS takes up one hundred and fifty gigabytes. 150 GB! How is that possible!? That’s ten times the size I’d expect.
The more I think about it, the more I’m convincing myself that when it’s time to replace our 2015 5K iMac, I may just buy a 4K TV to replace our current TV and put a high spec Mac Mini behind it. Thoughts?
Ooooo. macOS 11 (Big Sur) is niiiiiice.
